Cindy Williams is most recognized for her role as “Shirley Feeney” in the TV comedy series LAVERNE AND SHIRLEY. But before this, Cindy had the privilege of working with extraordinary directors in great films.
Cindy made her film debut in the low budget Roger Corman film, GAS-S-S-S which co-starred Talia Shire and Ben Vereen. She next appeared in TRAVELS WITH MY AUNT with Maggie Smith, directed by George Cukor; followed by AMERICAN GRAFFITI directed by George Lucas, co-starring Ron Howard, Richard Dreyfuss and Harrison Ford (a low-budget film that went on to become a box office smash, film classic and one of the AFI Top 100 Films of all time.) She also had the honor of working with Francis Ford Coppola in THE CONVERSATION along with Gene Hackman.
Cindy landed her first television roles on ROOM 222, NANNY AND THE PROFESSOR and LOVE, AMERICAN STYLE. Some guest-starring roles include LAW AND ORDER: SUV, SEVENTH HEAVEN and 8 SIMPLE RULES. Other television credits include co-starring in the series Getting By with Telma Hopkins for NBC, THE ODD COUPLE for CBS, A DREAM OF CHRISTMAS for Hallmark Channel and SAM AND CAT for Nickelodeon.
Stage credits include, among other productions, the national tour of GREASE playing Miss Lynch; the national tour of DEATHTRAP with Elliot Gould; THE FEMALE ODD COUPLE with Joanne Worley, STEEL MAGNOLIAS as Ouiser Boudreaux and, in 2007, she made her Broadway debut in the role of Mrs. Tottendale in the award-winning musical THE DROWSY CHAPERONE. Currently, she is appearing in MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL at Harrah’s Las Vegas.
Cindy is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Didi, Adrian and Donny in this production of Middletown.
